A Ferndale shoot day usually starts before the Main Street shops open, when the Victorian fronts catch flat morning light and the street is empty. We run broadcast-grade cinema bodies with lav and boom audio so dialogue stays clean inside the smaller tasting rooms. The Part 107 drone goes up for the opening sweep over the district when the wind off the bottoms allows. You get a color-graded film plus clean selects.

The dairy bottoms south of town hold ground fog later than Main Street does, so we pull the sunrise milk-can B-roll first and move into town once it lifts. Russ Park sits high enough to establish the whole Eel River valley, but the ridge trail is shaded by afternoon. We plan around that light, not against it.
