The Strategy

Brand familiarity at a county-wide scale. Deliberately.

Most home-services advertisers run lead-form ads or link-click campaigns chasing short-term cost-per-lead. The J&G program ran neither. My strategy was simpler: show, don't tell. Put a magnifying glass on the company J&G already was, the crews, the craft, the finished projects, and run it back in front of the North Coast market week after week, so when a homeowner finally needed a $30k+ landscape build, J&G was the name they already trusted. On the Meta side that translated to a pure engagement objective, no link-click optimization, no lead-form chase, just visibility on the work itself.

That makes the traffic numbers below an unusually clean read. No part of the strategy was optimized for clicks, leads, or conversions, and yet Meta still drove more traffic to the J&G website than Google's organic search did: 3,542 visits from Facebook + Instagram vs. 2,744 from organic. Facebook and Instagram in-app browsers ranked as the 2nd and 4th most-used browsers on the site, accounting for roughly 36% of all sessions. Those clicks were a byproduct of brand attention, not a goal of the campaigns.

And the downstream effect on paid search is documented: 92% of all-time Google Ads conversions came in during the brand-building window, at a 27.5% lower cost-per-conversion and 19.8% lower cost-per-click. That's the compounding effect of brand recognition on every other channel a business is running, and it's the foundation a direct-response program would now be layered onto.
