Most event video is a camera on a tripod at the back of the room. That footage gets watched once, by the person who ordered it. An event film is different. It is built for the people who were not there, and for the room you need to fill next year.
I cover events the way I cover a game. Anticipate the moment, be in position before it happens, and keep the camera moving so the energy in the room shows up on the screen. That comes from years on sidelines and a decade of making things people actually watch.
The deliverable is never just one long file. It is a recap film for the website, vertical cuts for social within days, and full recordings of the speeches for the archive. One booking, one production day, everything the organization needs from it.
Based in Prescott Valley, born and raised, and covering Prescott, Sedona, Flagstaff, and all of Yavapai County with no travel charge.

One production day, a year of content.
An event is the most expensive content day most organizations ever run. The venue, the catering, the speakers, and the guests are all already paid for. The film is the only part of that spend that keeps working after the chairs are stacked.

Recap film, two to five minutes, cut to licensed music, the version that goes on the website and gets shown at next year's event.

Social cuts, vertical 15 to 60 second edits for Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, delivered within days while the event is still fresh.

Speaker and program coverage, full-length recordings of keynotes, speeches, and presentations with clean, separately recorded audio.

Aerial, FAA Part 107 certified and insured drone coverage of the venue, the crowd, and the setting, where airspace allows.

Stills, event photography alongside the video, so the same day produces the gallery and the film.

Raw footage, available on a drive if the organization wants the full archive, priced into the scope.

Planned before, invisible during.
The best event coverage is the kind guests do not notice. That takes a plan, which is why the work starts a week before the doors open.

The run of show
A call before the event to walk the schedule. Who speaks, when the moments happen, what the film is for afterward, and who needs clips the next morning.

The site
Venue lighting, power, audio feed access, and where a camera can stand without being in the way. For outdoor events, a quick airspace check for the drone.

Event day
One or two operators depending on scale, cinema cameras, wireless audio tied into the house feed where there is one. I stay mobile and out of the guests' way.

Fast cuts first
Social clips land within days. The full recap film follows once the edit, color, and sound mix are done properly.
Event coverage is scoped per event. Hours on site, number of operators, speaker recordings, and how many social cuts you need all set the number, and you have it in writing before the date is held.

Questions worth asking.

How far ahead should we book?
Four to six weeks is comfortable for most events. Peak spring and fall dates in the Prescott area go faster. If the event is next week, ask anyway. If I am open, I will make it work. -
What does event video cost?
It is scoped per event, not sold as a package, because a two hour luncheon and a three day conference are not the same job. The variables are hours on site, number of operators, whether you need speaker recordings, and how many social cuts. The first call is free and ends with a written scope and a fixed number. -
Can we get clips the same night?
A single short clip the same night is possible if it is planned for and there is time between the moment and the end of the event. A set of polished vertical cuts usually lands within two to three days. The full recap film takes longer because the color and sound are done properly. -
Do you record the full speeches?
Yes. Keynotes, awards presentations, and toasts can be recorded in full with audio taken directly from the house sound system or from a dedicated wireless microphone. Those recordings are delivered separately from the recap film. -
Do you also shoot photos at events?
Yes. Tex Kelly Productions is a husband-and-wife team, and most events are covered with one of us on video and one on stills. You get the gallery and the film from a single booking. -
Where do you cover events?
Based in Prescott Valley and covering Prescott, Chino Valley, Sedona, Cottonwood, Camp Verde, Flagstaff, and the rest of Yavapai County at no travel charge. Phoenix and the Valley are a regular drive. Anything farther is quoted in the scope.
