Senior Portrait Photographer · Fort Bragg, California
Cinematic senior sessions, redwoods, coast, hometown settings.
Hi. I'm Tex.
I'm a North Coast filmmaker and photographer, voted Humboldt County's Best. Senior portraits in Fort Bragg are some of my favorite sessions of the year, your hometown deserves a senior shoot that actually looks like Fort Bragg, not a generic studio backdrop you could be anywhere.
My job is to make you (or your senior) feel completely comfortable, then put you in front of the most cinematic light Fort Bragg and the surrounding Mendocino County have to offer. No stiff poses. No fake smiles. Just real, beautiful, intentional portraits worth printing big.
Now booking the Class of 2027 in Fort Bragg.
A note from Fort Bragg
Senior portrait sessions in Fort Bragg, California. Glass Beach, the working harbor, Pomo Bluffs Park, MacKerricher State Park, and the northern Mendocino coast's most distinctive senior portrait locations.
The Approach
The Fort Bragg location
Fort Bragg senior portraits play against an entirely different Mendocino backdrop than the polished Mendocino village 10 miles south, working harbor scenes, Glass Beach's sea-glass-strewn shore, the dramatic Pomo Bluffs sea cliffs, and MacKerricher's dunes-meets-headlands geography. Fort Bragg High School Timberwolves are the primary booking; full-day editorial sessions add Mendocino-village backdrops to the coverage.
The Fort Bragg session
A Fort Bragg senior session moves at an easy pace. We start at the working harbor along the Noyo River, where the fishing boats give you a backdrop nothing studio can fake. Then we walk down to Glass Beach for the sea glass and the waves. Bring two or three outfits. We go over the route before the day so you know what's coming. No stiff yearbook poses. We keep you moving and talking, and the real shots come out of that.
The Mendocino County scouting advantage
Knowing this stretch of coast saves the session. Pomo Bluffs and the MacKerricher headlands sit minutes from downtown, but the wind off the Pacific decides which one works on a given afternoon. Glass Beach reads best at low tide when the sea glass is uncovered. Fort Bragg High Timberwolves usually book in spring, before the summer fog settles in thick. We plan around all of it so the light and the tide line up.
Class of 2027, Fort Bragg
Yearbook submissions, graduation announcements, and grandparent prints all run on the same clock. Fort Bragg seniors planning ahead get first pick of golden-hour weekend windows, spring and summer fill from out-of-county requests first, then by school graduation order. Reserve early.

The Editing Process
A wedding film isn't shot in a day, it's made over months. Hours of raw cinema footage, multi-camera audio, drone aerial, and second-shooter coverage get assembled, color-graded, and scored frame by frame in the edit suite.
Every transition is intentional. Every cut earns its keep. The goal is a film couples actually want to re-watch, not a montage of clips. That kind of editorial discipline is the difference between a wedding film and a wedding highlight reel, and it's why these turnarounds run weeks instead of days.
Venues + Locations
Sea-glass shore + Pacific waves. The signature Fort Bragg senior portrait location.
Fishing-fleet authenticity, dock + boat backdrops, the Fort Bragg identity in one frame.
Sea cliffs, headlands, and dunes, dramatic Pacific coast backdrops minutes from downtown.
What's Included
Golden-hour light at the Noyo River working harbor, dramatic location work at Glass Beach at golden hour, and the kind of shots that stop the scroll. Cinematic, never cookie-cutter.
No awkward posing, no forced expressions. Every session is fun, relaxed, and built around the senior. Authentic portraits that capture exactly who you are at this moment.
Glass Beach at golden hour, the Noyo River working harbor, and Pomo Bluffs Park sea cliffs at low tide, the tucked-away spots in and around Fort Bragg most photographers drive right past. Locations curated, intentional, exclusive.
