Senior Portrait Photographer · Williams, Arizona
Cinematic senior sessions, redwoods, coast, hometown settings.
Hi. I'm Tex.
I'm a North Coast filmmaker and photographer, voted Humboldt County's Best. Senior portraits in Williams are some of my favorite sessions of the year, your hometown deserves a senior shoot that actually looks like Williams, not a generic studio backdrop you could be anywhere.
My job is to make you (or your senior) feel completely comfortable, then put you in front of the most cinematic light Williams and the surrounding Coconino County have to offer. No stiff poses. No fake smiles. Just real, beautiful, intentional portraits worth printing big.
Now booking the Class of 2027 in Williams.
A note from Williams
Cinematic senior portrait sessions in Williams, Arizona — Route 66 heritage main street, Grand Canyon Railway depot, Ponderosa pine forest backdrops, and Sycamore Canyon. Williams High School students booked regularly.
The Approach
The Williams location
Williams senior portraits get the Route 66 + Grand Canyon gateway treatment — historic main street with neon and old motels, the Grand Canyon Railway depot for a distinctive editorial backdrop, and Ponderosa pine forest at 6,800 ft elevation surrounding town. Half-day epic sessions can run Williams + Grand Canyon South Rim for a once-in-a-lifetime senior portrait spread.
The Williams session
Williams High Vikings senior portraits anchor the Coconino booking calendar here. Standard 60-minute sessions cover historic Route 66 main street + Grand Canyon Railway depot + a personal-meaning Ponderosa pine forest spot. Half-day epic upgrades add Grand Canyon South Rim (60 minutes north on Highway 64) for a once-in-a-lifetime senior portrait spread. National Park Service commercial photography permit required for South Rim work; we handle the pull (60-day lead time).
The Coconino County scouting advantage
Williams is the only senior portrait town in Arizona where the iconic backdrop changes character every two blocks — neon-lit Route 66 storefronts give way to vintage motels, then the historic 1908 Grand Canyon Railway depot, then 6,800-ft Ponderosa pine forest at the edge of town. Knowing which Route 66 storefront catches the best reflected light at 6 PM in October, which depot platform angle frames the train without putting the parking lot in the shot, and which forest service road leads to the pine grove that's actually photographable is the difference between Williams as a Grand Canyon gateway and Williams as a senior portrait destination in its own right.
Class of 2027, Williams
Yearbook submissions, graduation announcements, and grandparent prints all run on the same clock. Williams seniors planning ahead get first pick of golden-hour weekend windows, spring and summer fill from out-of-county requests first, then by school graduation order. Reserve early.

The Editing Process
A wedding film isn't shot in a day, it's made over months. Hours of raw cinema footage, multi-camera audio, drone aerial, and second-shooter coverage get assembled, color-graded, and scored frame by frame in the edit suite.
Every transition is intentional. Every cut earns its keep. The goal is a film couples actually want to re-watch, not a montage of clips. That kind of editorial discipline is the difference between a wedding film and a wedding highlight reel, and it's why these turnarounds run weeks instead of days.
Venues + Locations
Neon, old motels, brick storefronts. Distinctive editorial backdrop for senior portraits.
Vintage 1908 train depot. Iconic Williams senior portrait location.
6,800 ft elevation pine forest surrounding town. Cinematic at golden hour.
What's Included
Golden-hour light at the historic Route 66 storefronts downtown, dramatic location work at Bill Williams Mountain at sunset, and the kind of shots that stop the scroll. Cinematic, never cookie-cutter.
No awkward posing, no forced expressions. Every session is fun, relaxed, and built around the senior. Authentic portraits that capture exactly who you are at this moment.
Bill Williams Mountain at sunset, the historic Route 66 storefronts downtown, and the pine-rimmed Cataract Lake shoreline, the tucked-away spots in and around Williams most photographers drive right past. Locations curated, intentional, exclusive.
Two to three outfit changes, casual, dressed up, and something that represents you. Letterman jacket, jersey, instrument, your truck. Earth tones and solids photograph beautifully against Williams' Route 66 and ponderosa-pine palette.
Cinematic short-form video for seniors who want something extra to remember this chapter by, a 60–90 second piece that lives on Instagram and lasts forever.
