Editorial, commercial, and lifestyle photography. Award-winning, FAA Part 107 aerial-capable.
Hi. I'm Tex.
I'm a North Coast filmmaker and photographer, voted Humboldt County's Best. Editorial, commercial, and brand photography in Flagstaff runs across portrait sessions, hospitality and restaurant brand work, real estate listings, and the kind of long-form editorial that turns a small business into a recognizable local brand.
My job is to put you, your team, or your space in front of the most cinematic light Flagstaff and the surrounding Coconino County have to offer, and to do it in a way that doesn't feel staged. No corporate-stock smiles. No templated compositions. Just real, intentional, editorial photography that reads as a brand asset, not a stock photo.

A note from Flagstaff
Editorial, brand, and destination photography in Flagstaff, Arizona, award-winning photography across the Northern Arizona University campus, the historic Railroad District, Lowell Observatory, and the San Francisco Peaks. High-elevation pine-forest and snow-season work in Northern Arizona's largest college town.
The Approach
The Flagstaff location
Flagstaff is the highest-elevation editorial market in Arizona, pine forest, the 12,000-foot San Francisco Peaks immediately north of town, and dramatic seasonal weather that ranges from blue-sky summer to deep winter snow. Most Flagstaff photography is NAU institutional and student senior portraits, brand work for Railroad District businesses, hospitality cinematography for the Drury Inn and Little America properties, and destination engagement sessions for couples flying in to use the pine forest as a backdrop.
The Flagstaff session
A Flagstaff shoot moves with the elevation. We start brand sessions early in the Railroad District, when the low sun is still raking across the brick storefronts and the Route 66 signage on Beaver Street reads clean. Then we move into the pines off the NAU campus walkways. No set poses. We talk through what the business actually does, give people something to react to, and shoot the in-between moments while the direction stays loose.
The Coconino County scouting advantage
Knowing Flagstaff means knowing the snow line. The San Francisco Peaks hold powder from December into April, and a clear morning up there can close in by noon. We watch the marine layer that the high desert never gets and time alpine work to the window. The pine forest light shifts hard between summer blue-sky and deep winter. Standing in it through every season is the only way to plan a day that holds.
Now booking, Flagstaff
Flagstaff sessions and brand campaigns book on a rolling calendar, weekday brand work fills first, weekend portrait dates fill around it. Send a note with your timeline and we'll find the right window.

The Editing Process
A wedding film isn't shot in a day, it's made over months. Hours of raw cinema footage, multi-camera audio, drone aerial, and second-shooter coverage get assembled, color-graded, and scored frame by frame in the edit suite.
Every transition is intentional. Every cut earns its keep. The goal is a film couples actually want to re-watch, not a montage of clips. That kind of editorial discipline is the difference between a wedding film and a wedding highlight reel, and it's why these turnarounds run weeks instead of days.
